This is a proper residential flat on Uerdinger Straße in Golzheim, and the owner clearly wants to keep it that way.

I mean, let’s be real – with a 9.6 rating, they’re obviously doing something right. The apartment sits right on the ground floor of a typical Düsseldorf building, which actually works in your favor because you won’t be lugging suitcases up narrow German staircases (trust me, your back will thank you). Golzheim is one of those neighborhoods that locals love but tourists often miss – it’s got this residential vibe that feels authentically German without being touristy. You’re close enough to the Altstadt that you can walk there when you want that classic Düsseldorf experience, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with drunk tourists stumbling past your windows at 2 AM.

The three-room setup works well for six people, though I’d say it’s more comfortable for four adults or a family situation. What I really appreciated was how it felt like staying in someone’s actual home rather than a sterile rental – there are those little touches that make you feel settled, like proper kitchen equipment and decent Wi-Fi that actually works. The street itself is pretty quiet during the day, mostly locals going about their business, and you’ve got easy access to public transport if you need to get around the city. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this area – it’s not impossible, but you might find yourself circling the block a few times during busy periods. The check-in process was straightforward, no weird complications or confusing key pickup situations that sometimes plague these private rentals.

What sets this place apart from the typical hotel experience is that you get a real sense of living in Düsseldorf rather than just visiting it. There’s a bakery just down the street where you can grab proper German bread in the morning, and you’re walking distance from the Rhine promenade when you want to stretch your legs. The owner clearly takes pride in maintaining the space – everything feels clean and well-kept, which probably explains that stellar rating. It’s not fancy or Instagram-perfect, but it’s comfortable and genuine, which honestly feels more valuable these days than another cookie-cutter hotel room with overpriced minibars and paper-thin walls.

  Lovely stay at very well equipped apartment. Easy parking and some nice restaurants nearby. City centre is reachable in 10 minutes by tram. Contact with owners was very quick and smooth. Hope to come again one day!

  The flat was immaculately clean and perfectly equipped. It is also beautifully decorated and the beds and sofa are very comfortable.
  The location is great for accessing both Messe Düsseldorf and the old town.

  Die Unterkunft war super geräumig, sauber und geflegt.
  Die Vermieter wohnen mit im Haus und waren wirklich super freundlich und hilfsbereit.
  Die Betten waren bequem und der Parkplatz ist hingegen zu einigen Bewertungen absolut ausreichend groß wenn man Auto fahren kann.
  Wir waren mit einem Kombi da und hatten keine Probleme.
