The address puts you right on Am Pflanzkamp, which sounds intimidating if you don’t speak German, but it’s actually this quiet residential street that feels refreshingly normal after dealing with touristy hotel strips. You’re on the first floor (that’s what “1. Etg” means, by the way – learned that the hard way), so no endless elevator waits or lugging suitcases up three flights of stairs. The Eller neighborhood gets overlooked by most visitors who stick to the Altstadt, but honestly, that’s their loss. You’ve got actual local bakeries within walking distance, and the S-Bahn connections are surprisingly solid when you want to venture into central Düsseldorf or even hop over to Cologne for a day trip.

What really won me over was how this place feels like staying in someone’s actual apartment rather than a sterile hotel room. I mean, it’s got that lived-in quality without being messy or worn down – there’s a difference, you know? The morning light comes in just right, and you can actually hear birds instead of constant traffic noise, which is pretty rare for any major German city. The 8.6 rating makes sense once you’re there; it’s not trying to be fancy, but everything works properly and the little details are thought out. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that corporate hotel bureaucracy where they need seventeen forms of ID and a blood sample.

The three-star rating feels about right, though I’d argue it punches above its weight in terms of comfort and location value. You’re close enough to reach Düsseldorf’s center without paying those premium prices, and the neighborhood has this authentic German residential vibe that you just can’t get in the tourist zones. Plus, parking isn’t the nightmare it can be in other parts of the city – trust me on this one, I’ve circled blocks for an hour looking for a spot near fancier hotels. If you’re the type who prefers exploring local spots over hitting every major landmark, and you appreciate places that feel genuine rather than Instagram-perfect, this little apartment setup might just be exactly what you didn’t know you were looking for.

  Schöne saubere Wohnung mit allem ausgestattet was man erwarten kann.
  
  What could be improved: Rolläden waren teilweise nicht vorhanden und wenn vorhanden konnten nicht ganz geschlossen werden, so dass man es nicht ganz dunkel bekommen hat. WLAN war nicht verfügbar.

  Прекрасные апартаменты. Очень чисто, Аппартаменты наполнены множеством различных нужных мелочей для комфортного пребывания. Хозяин очень отзывчивый, помогает с решением любых вопросов. Рядом есть парк для прогулок. До центра Дюссельдорфа можно легко добраться общественным транспортом или на такси.

  Die Einrichtung ist sehr lieb und schön gestaltet. Mit einem Laufweg von ca 20Min bis zur S-Bahn ist die Lage top. Die Küche ist super!
