You know what? I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect when I first climbed those stairs to the second floor of House 3 on Hüttenstraße – honestly, the whole “Heaven Homes” thing sounded a bit cheesy. But this little gem in Oberbilk completely won me over, and I get why it’s pulling a 9 rating without bothering with the official star system nonsense.

The thing about staying here is you’re actually living in a proper Düsseldorf neighborhood, not some sterile hotel district. Oberbilk gets overlooked by most tourists, which is honestly perfect because you’ll grab breakfast at the corner bakery with locals heading to work, and there’s this great Turkish place just down the street that I stumbled onto my second night. The 15-minute walk to the city center claim is pretty accurate – I timed it at about 12 minutes to the Altstadt if you’re not dawdling, though the tram connections are solid too if the weather turns. What really struck me was how quiet it gets in the evenings up on that second floor, even though you’re still properly connected to everything.

The space itself feels more like staying in someone’s thoughtfully designed apartment than a traditional hotel room – and I mean that in the best way possible. There’s this attention to detail that you just don’t get in chain places, from the way the morning light hits through those big windows to the little touches that make you feel like someone actually cares about your stay. The host clearly knows their stuff about the area too, which came in handy when I needed dinner recommendations that weren’t the usual tourist traps. Parking was surprisingly manageable on the street (though weekday mornings get busy with commuters), and check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no standing around lobbies or dealing with corporate hospitality scripts. I actually ended up extending my stay an extra night because, well, sometimes you find a place that just works, you know? If you’re the type who’d rather experience Düsseldorf like you’re temporarily living there instead of just passing through, this is your spot.

  La ubicación es perfecta, esta enfrente de una parada de bus y la estación de tren esta super cerca.
  Es fácil de entrar con los códigos que te mandan para abrir las puertas.
  El estilo del lugar es muy lindo y algunas habitaciones tienen refrigerador adentro.
  
  What could be improved: Al estar cerca de la estación de trenes escuchas cuando van llegando y en ocasiones se siente como vibran las paredes .
  No sé cada cuanto hagan limpieza pero la basura se acumula muy rápido en la cocina, no hay botes de basura suficientes para la cantidad de personas que hay por piso.
