Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first climbed up to the second floor of this unassuming building on Hüttenstraße – Heaven Homes doesn’t exactly scream “boutique hotel” from the street. But you know what? Sometimes the best places hide in plain sight, and this little gem in Oberbilk absolutely delivers on its name.

The whole setup feels more like staying at a design-savvy friend’s place than a traditional hotel, which I mean in the best possible way. The owners have clearly put thought into every detail without going overboard – think carefully chosen furniture, proper lighting that actually works for reading, and those little touches that make you feel at home rather than just passing through. What really got me was how quiet it stays despite being right in the city. Oberbilk isn’t the flashiest district (locals will tell you it’s still “up and coming”), but that’s actually part of its charm – you’re close enough to walk to the Hauptbahnhof in about ten minutes, yet tucked away from all that tourist chaos around the Altstadt.

The location thing is honestly perfect if you’re the type who likes to feel like you’re experiencing a city rather than just visiting it. There’s this great Turkish bakery just down the street where I grabbed coffee every morning, and the whole neighborhood has this authentic, lived-in vibe that you don’t get in the polished city center. Parking can be a bit tricky – street parking is hit or miss, so I’d definitely ask about options when you book. The check-in process was refreshingly personal too; instead of some sterile front desk experience, you actually get to meet the people who run the place, and they genuinely seem to care about making sure you have what you need. I stayed during a pretty busy conference week in Düsseldorf, and while I could hear the occasional tram rumbling by, it was never enough to wake me up – the windows are surprisingly good at keeping the sound out. Look, it’s not going to have a concierge or room service, but if you’re looking for somewhere that feels authentic and thoughtfully done, with easy access to both the train connections and the real Düsseldorf, this place absolutely nails it. That 9.5 rating isn’t just hype – it’s what happens when someone actually cares about creating something special rather than just filling rooms.

  Es war sehr modern eingerichtet und nahe am Bahnhof
  
  What could be improved: Man konnte die Züge hören da die Unterkunft direkt neben den Geleisen ist ectl. wäre dies mit einer besser isolierten Wand nicht so schlimm.

  Die Unterkunft ist sehr zentral, ich konnte zu. HBF und in die Innenstadt zu Fuß laufen, ca. 10 min. vor der Tür fährt Bahn und Bus und in 1 Haltestelle ist man auf der Königsallee. Restaurants, Supermärkte und mehrere Bäckereien sind nur 2-3 Minuten Fußweg. Das Zimmer war genauso wie auf den Bilder.
