Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about this place? The moment I stepped onto that balcony and realized I could actually see the Rhine from there – well, sort of peek at it between the buildings anyway. HOMEFY OLDTOWN APARTMENT sits right on Neustraße, which honestly puts you in the thick of Düsseldorf’s Altstadt without the crazy tourist trap feeling you get closer to the Rheinuferpromenade. I mean, you’re literally a three-minute walk from all those breweries everyone talks about, but when you close the apartment door behind you, it actually gets pretty quiet.
The setup works really well for six people – I’ve stayed in plenty of places that claim they sleep six but leave someone on a pull-out couch that feels like medieval torture. Here, the two bathrooms make all the difference (anyone who’s traveled with a group knows exactly what I’m talking about). The kitchen’s got everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the Rewe around the corner instead of eating out every meal, which honestly saved us quite a bit since Altstadt restaurant prices can get pretty steep. What I really appreciated was how the host actually responded to messages quickly – there’s nothing worse than being locked out with your luggage while someone takes hours to get back to you.
The location thing is real though. You can walk to Königsallee in about ten minutes if you’re into that high-end shopping scene, or just wander the cobblestone streets and stumble into those tiny bars that locals actually frequent. I loved that you could hear the church bells from St. Lambertus in the morning – adds this authentic old-town vibe without being annoyingly loud. Parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving (the streets around there are narrow and mostly resident-only), but there’s a public garage about five minutes away that’s not too expensive. The 8.2 rating makes sense to me – it’s not luxury by any stretch, but it’s clean, comfortable, and the kind of place where you feel like you’re actually staying in Düsseldorf rather than some generic hotel bubble. Plus, being right there means you can easily walk back if you’ve had a few too many Altbier samples, which… let’s be honest, is probably going to happen.
Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Dusseldorf through local agencies that offer personalized recommendations and insider knowledge about the best neighborhoods for exploring the city’s rich fashion and cultural heritage.

the apartment is centrally located with easy access to all attractions and amenities.
it’s very spacious, well stocked, and i especially liked the comfortable couch
What could be improved: alas there was no lift which meant carrying the luggage up two flights of stairs.Excellent location, clean, comfortable, plenty of space for five people. Friendly host. – Peter from Netherlands – 5 November 2023 (9/10)
Excellent location, clean, comfortable, plenty of space for five people. Friendly host.
Nice place to stay – Teona from Georgia – 28 June 2024 (9/10)
Spacious apartment in a city center. It has everything you need for comfortable stay with family. Looks nice and facilities are good.
Double bed is situated at the living room and another bedroom has 2 single beds. Everything can be found around.
What could be improved: No elevator and little bit dusty floor, otherwise all goodExcellent 2-day stay in Dusseldorf – Ergi from Canada – 17 June 2024 (10/10)
Excellent location with a very communicative host. The apartment was very clean and everything was well organized. We were a group of 5 and it was very comfortable to stay in. Paul also makes everything very easy with detailed instructions on everything you will need during your stay.
Excellent apartment in great location – Switz07 from United Kingdom – 14 November 2023 (10/10)
The location is the best you could ask for. In the heart of the old town but not too close for their to be noise at night from the nightlife.
Good – Monika from Switzerland – 19 July 2025 (7/10)
Hübsche Einrichtung – zentrale Lage
What could be improved: Enormer Lärm nachts – schlechter Duft von den ResturantküchenSuper Location, mitten in Düsseldorf – Simon from Germany – 7 July 2025 (9/10)
Mooi, comfortabel appartement midden in centrum. – Anneke from Netherlands – 12 December 2023 (9/10)
Mooi, schoon en modern appartement. Alle voorzieningen aanwezig. Heel erg goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding en lekker centraal in Düsseldorf
What could be improved: Geluiden vanaf straat aan voorzijde erg goed te horen. Good – Mariaipad from Spain – 25 April 2025 (7/10)
Es un apartamento amplio y bien situado.
What could be improved: No tiene ascensor.
– Fabio from Switzerland – 16 July 2024 (9/10)
What could be improved: Der Geschmack im Treppenhaus war etwas unangenehm.
