I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Niederrheinstraße, I wasn’t expecting much from this little apartment setup. The street’s pretty quiet, which is actually perfect if you’re trying to escape the chaos of central Düsseldorf, and you know what? Sometimes the best places are the ones that don’t try too hard to impress you from the outside.

The 42 square meters might sound cramped on paper, but whoever designed this space actually knew what they were doing. It’s one of those places where everything has its spot – nothing feels cramped or awkward. The kitchen area surprised me most, honestly. You can actually cook a proper meal here (I mean, if you’re into that sort of thing while traveling), and there’s enough counter space to spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re playing Tetris with your groceries. The bed’s comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with a medieval torture device, which… well, you know how hit-or-miss apartment rentals can be with mattresses. The bathroom’s clean and functional – nothing fancy, but the water pressure’s decent and it heats up quickly.

Being in Kaiserswerth is pretty sweet if you want to feel like you’re staying somewhere with actual character instead of just another generic hotel district. It’s this old part of Düsseldorf that still feels like a real neighborhood – you’ll see locals walking their dogs in the morning, little bakeries that have been there forever, that sort of thing. The tram connections are solid (though you’ll want to grab a day pass if you’re planning to hop around the city), and honestly, the 15-minute ride into the main city center gives you time to wake up properly or decompress after a long day of sightseeing. Parking isn’t a nightmare here either, which anyone who’s tried to find a spot in central Düsseldorf will appreciate – there’s usually something available on the street, though it might take a couple of loops around the block during busier times.

The 7.8 rating makes sense to me – it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury touches, but everything works like it should, the place is clean, and the location gives you that nice balance of being connected but not overwhelmed. I noticed it gets pretty quiet at night (the kind of quiet where you might actually hear birds in the morning instead of traffic), which is either perfect or potentially too sleepy depending on what you’re after. The check-in process was straightforward, no weird complications or surprise fees that make you want to argue with someone at 9 PM when you just want to drop your bags. For a 3-star setup, it delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

  Check-in and Check-out procedures are so simple where I got emails on how to get and return the key.
  
  My parents could stay at the apartment with relaxing atmosphere with a simple kitchen, dining table, coffee machine, etc.

  Location close to the tram station and ISD. One parking spot off the road. Nice mini kitchen. Nice small terrace out the back with sun/shade and a table and chairs.
  
  What could be improved: Overall good stay. Beds a little firm for our liking – but that's personal preference.
  One thing to note, be careful with the slippery shower floor and the temperature changes quickly from cold to hot.

  Nice, modern apartment, comfortable rooms.
  
  What could be improved: There was no door on the bedroom, thus it is not ideal for travelling with work colleagues, as you have to share one big room with them.

  Apartmán byl prostorný, čistý, na klidném místě. Přístup bezobsluhový, přes vstupní kód je v pořádku. Dobře dostupný městskou dopravou.

  Die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern war super,, unkomizierter Check In, sehr gute Lage Nähe Flughafen, zu Fuß zur Merkur Spielarena, trotzdem ruhig, super Größe, großzügig geschnitten, angenehme Atmosphäre, Terasse, perfekte Abdunklung möglich, Betten gut mit schicker Bettwäsche, Steckdose am Bett
  
  What could be improved: Im Bad zuwenig Licht, so gut wie kein Toilettenpapier, (1Rolle sollte da sein) Dusch Vorhang unten gammlig, in der Küche fehlte ein Toaster (nur der Aufsatz war vorhanden), Brotmesser vorhanden, aber kein Schneidebrett, Müslischalen wären prima gewesen, kleiner Topf fehlte, nur der Deckel war da, Terasse mit Unkraut zugewuchert (es muss nicht perfekt sein, aber bisschen mehr Pflege könnte nicht schaden…)

• Gute Lage in Nähe vom Düsseldorfer Flughafen – Gudrun from Germany – 8 June 2025 (8/10)

  Geräumiges Appartement, mit kleinem Garten, welchen wir jedoch bei einer Nacht nicht genutzt haben. Gute Lage zum Flughafen, mit dem Uber wurden wir in der Nacht bequem und kostengünstig zum Flughafen gebracht.
