Here’s what I love about staying here — you’re literally steps away from the Rhine promenade, and the old town’s cobblestone streets are your backyard. Couples seem to get this immediately (they rate the location 8.7, which makes total sense), because there’s something romantic about wandering these medieval streets in the evening. The Königsallee shopping district is a short walk away, and you can easily reach the MedienHafen area with its striking architecture. What’s really convenient is how walkable everything becomes from this spot — you don’t need to rely on taxis or public transport for most of your Düsseldorf exploration.

  Cute apartment that was very well located in the old town. Place is nicer than the pictures.

  Location in the heart of old Dusseldorf. Large space and family could spread out. Loved the old modernised building. This property has great potential if managed properly..
  
  What could be improved: They had problems before we arrived, and the shower was broken(cracked and door missing), so we didn't want to flood the floor as not sealed properly. Floor dirty, vacuumed but not moped. Mouldy tea towel and freezer. No soap.. Forgot to mention 51 steps to property and no lift. There is no fire extinguisher on the floor, so it's very unsafe.

  What could be improved: The bathroom sink was a headache, needs to be replaced or moved to somewhere else. Cant wash face at all. Very small and the box on top makes it unaccessable.

  the location was close to the Christmas markets and the promenade.
  
  What could be improved: it was a trek from the metro with luggage on cobblestone streets and then up many stairs. The instructions for where to go and how to get in were not clear and the Wi-Fi password was not written inside but the owner was responsive when we called for both reasons. Other booking.com locations have sent us an email prior with these things which would have been helpful. We also couldn’t get the radiators to warm the place very much but we just bundled up.
