Hotel Description

Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first pulled up to Jupa’s Hotel on Bahnhofstraße – it’s tucked into this quiet residential stretch of Angermund that most people probably drive right past without noticing. But that’s actually part of what makes this place so refreshing. You’re still technically in Düsseldorf, but it feels worlds away from the bustling city center, and the train connections are surprisingly decent if you need to get into the main part of town.

The thing about Jupa’s is that it doesn’t try to fit into any particular box, which I mean, explains why they don’t bother with the whole star rating system. The owner clearly has their own vision – there’s this eclectic mix of modern touches and quirky vintage pieces that somehow works together. My room had these amazing high ceilings (the building’s got some age to it) and the kind of thick walls that actually keep things quiet, which you’ll appreciate since Bahnhofstraße does get some traffic during the day. The bathroom was compact but well thought out, with one of those rainfall showerheads that actually has decent water pressure – you know how hit or miss those can be. What really struck me was the attention to small details… good lighting for reading, enough outlets where you actually need them, and they’d clearly spent money on a proper mattress rather than just making things look pretty for photos.

The breakfast setup is refreshingly honest – nothing fancy, but everything’s fresh and local where it makes sense. You can tell they source their bread from somewhere nearby because it’s legitimately good, not that generic hotel stuff. Parking was easier than I expected for this area, though I’d still recommend asking about it when you book just to be safe. The staff genuinely seems to enjoy working there, which honestly makes such a difference – they’ll give you real recommendations for the neighborhood, not just the tourist spots everyone suggests. I ended up at this little Turkish place around the corner that I never would’ve found otherwise. The 8.6 rating makes total sense to me… it’s not trying to be the Ritz, but for what it is – a thoughtfully run, comfortable place with personality – it really delivers. If you’re the type who’d rather stay somewhere with character than another cookie-cutter chain, and you don’t mind being a bit outside the main tourist zone, Jupa’s is definitely worth considering.

Apartments in Dusseldorf provide travelers with an authentic local experience, allowing them to shop at traditional markets and cook with fresh ingredients from the renowned Rhineland culinary traditions.

  • Exceptional – Entela from Italy – 2 July 2025 (10/10)

The staff was really nice, always available and willing to fulfill my requests. The location is perfect, nice and quiet, not too close to the noisy city center, but also not too far away. Being very close to the train and bus stations makes it very easy and fast to reach both the city and the airport.
The room was very nice, clean and also very quiet which helped me get a good sleep and feel relaxed the next day.
The breakfast service was also very good. The food was fresh and tasty and you could find anything that you would need to have a good breakfast, including gluten free options.
I really enjoyed the place and the people, and will definitely visit again 🙂
    10/10 would recommend!
