Hotel Description
Honestly, when I first pulled up to Lenti Düsseldorfer Apartment’s on Auf’m Großenfeld, I wasn’t sure what to expect – the name’s a bit of a mouthful and it sits in Eller, which isn’t exactly where most tourists end up. But you know what? That’s actually part of its charm. This place feels like you’re staying in a real Düsseldorf neighborhood, not some sanitized hotel district. The building itself has this understated elegance that grows on you – nothing flashy, just solid German architecture with thoughtful touches that make you realize someone actually cares about this property.
What really struck me was how lived-in everything feels, in the best possible way. The apartments (and yeah, they really are proper apartments, not just hotel rooms with a kitchenette shoved in the corner) have this boutique vibe that’s hard to pin down with a star rating – I mean, how do you rate character? The furnishings feel curated rather than bulk-ordered, and there’s actual art on the walls that isn’t generic hotel prints. I particularly loved the kitchen setup – proper German appliances that actually work, plus they stock it with decent coffee, which saved my mornings more than once. The whole place runs quietly too, which surprised me given that you’re still in a city. Parking was straightforward, though I’d recommend confirming your spot when you book because street parking in Eller can get interesting.
Here’s the thing about the location that booking sites won’t tell you – Eller might not be Altstadt, but it’s where actual Düsseldorfers live and work. There’s a fantastic bakery about three blocks down that opens ridiculously early, and the S-Bahn connection gets you to the city center in maybe fifteen minutes. Plus, you’re close enough to the Rhine that evening walks become this nice routine rather than a tourist obligation. The 8.3 rating makes sense to me because while everything works well and the place has genuine personality, it’s not trying to be luxury – it’s trying to be comfortable and authentic, and it succeeds. If you want marble bathrooms and a concierge, look elsewhere. But if you want to feel like you’re actually experiencing Düsseldorf rather than just visiting it, and you appreciate spaces that feel thoughtfully put together without being precious about it, this place delivers in ways that surprised me.
Travelers should reserve a hotel in Dusseldorf at least two months ahead of their visit to ensure availability and secure better rates, especially during the peak autumn season when the city hosts numerous fashion shows and cultural festivals.

The staff was kind, the room was nice and well equipped.
What could be improved: It was very hard to open our door. First evening there was only cold water. The airvent was too noisy in the bathroom.Good – Alla from Germany – 16 March 2024 (7/10)

Great hospitality, i loved the coffee, thank you.
What could be improved: A little bit far from the center, but you have a close train line that get you to the center in a few minutesZum reinen übernachten für ein Wochenende vollkommen in Ordnung, für längere Aufenthalte würde ich was anderes suchen. – Marlon from Germany – 11 June 2025 (8/10)
What could be improved: Wenig bis gar keine "Küchenaustattung", keine Gabel, kein Messer, kein Löffel.
Freundlichkeit , Sauberkeit, Helfsbereit, – Fouad from Germany – 24 May 2025 (9/10)
Sehr gut 👍
– Knut from Germany – 5 March 2025 (9/10)
Alles in Allem sehr schön!
What could be improved: Die Bedienung des Fernsehers ist sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig, darum nur 9 Punkte … zumindest für mich?!?!ß1?!Very good – Steffen from Germany – 16 December 2024 (8/10)
Gut ausgestattet und offensichtlich relativ neu.
What could be improved: Parkplätze nicht vorhanden. Straßenparken sehr schwierig, da kaum freie Parkplätze zu finden.Very good – Mohammedelhadi from Sudan – 15 December 2024 (8/10)
Personal sehr freundlich
Very good – Anna-sophie from Germany – 20 August 2024 (8/10)
