Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about the MUZE Hotel? It’s tucked away on Prinz-Georg-Straße in this really nice residential part of Pempelfort, and honestly, that’s half the charm right there. You’re not dealing with the tourist crowds or constant traffic noise you’d get closer to the Altstadt, but you’re still only about a 10-minute tram ride from all the action. The neighborhood actually feels like where locals live – there’s a great little bakery just around the corner that I stumbled across during my morning walk, and the tree-lined streets have this relaxed vibe that makes you want to slow down a bit.
The hotel itself has this boutique feel that lives up to the “Handwritten Collection” name – I mean, everything feels deliberately chosen rather than just ordered from some hotel supply catalog. The lobby has these interesting art pieces (hence the “MUZE” thing, I suppose), and the staff genuinely seemed to know their stuff about both the hotel and the city. My room was well-designed without being fussy – good lighting for actually reading, a bathroom that didn’t require contortionist skills, and surprisingly effective blackout curtains. The bed was solid, though I’ll be honest, the pillows were a bit soft for my taste. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stayed at night, even on weekends. Sometimes these 4-star places can be hit-or-miss with soundproofing, but this one gets it right.
Here’s the thing about staying in Pempelfort versus the more obvious hotel districts – you get a much better sense of what Düsseldorf actually feels like as a city. There’s a U-Bahn station (Pempelforter Straße) maybe a 7-minute walk away, and from there you can reach the Rhine promenade, the shopping on Königsallee, or even hop over to the Japanese quarter pretty easily. The hotel folks were actually helpful with directions, not just the generic “take a taxi” response you sometimes get. Parking can be a bit tricky in the neighborhood if you’re driving, but the hotel has arrangements that work out fine – just ask when you book. Overall, it’s one of those places that feels like someone who actually travels put thought into the details, and that 8.4 rating makes sense to me. Not perfect, but genuinely pleasant in ways that matter when you’re trying to get a good night’s sleep and explore a city properly.

Reviews
Very good – Vahit from Turkey – 15 June 2025 (8/10)
It was good
What could be improved: Breakfast at Muze Hotel was disappointing. Limited variety, average taste, and not worth the price. Definitely needs improvement.Beautiful interiors but don't rely on an early breakfast. – Robert from United Kingdom – 23 March 2025 (8/10)
The hotel interior is beautiful. It feels a lot more expensive than what you are paying.
What could be improved: Breakfast from 7am… but to be honest they were only stsrting to lay out the breakfast at 7am. By 7.20am, needing to head off to the airport, we just gave up waiting for it to materialise.Very good – Cybil from Bulgaria – 24 February 2025 (8/10)
The location was perfect. There is a nice restaurant next to the hotel, 10min walking distance to the center. The bed was comfy and room was super clean.
What could be improved: nothing.Comfortable place for a short stay. – Xiao from Germany – 6 January 2025 (8/10)
Very convenient location, free apples every day to keep a healthy diet.
What could be improved: Room a bit small for two.Epic view and close to the center (Christmas fairs) – Peter from Netherlands – 29 December 2024 (9/10)
Breakfast was nice. Good options. We particularly liked the pancakes with Ahorn syrup. We were on the top floor, excellent views, good bed. Staff was friendly. Good location, very close to the center, we could visit all christmas fairs on foot.
What could be improved: Could have added bacon or sausages for breakfast. Some cooked meat to go with the excellent eggs. Personal thing 😉
Maybe a solution to get a late night snack, like a vending machine. There are no shops really close by.Good hotel and location – Paul from Netherlands – 22 December 2024 (8/10)

Nice boutique hotel in a good location, only walking distance to the city center.
What could be improved: The room is quite narrow and water pressure of the shower is ok but very concentrated.Superb – Maite from Italy – 5 November 2024 (9/10)
The staff was very friendly, and the room was very clean.
I would highly recommend this hotel as it is located in the center and you can reach everything by foot.
