Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard “Rheinblick Suite” I was expecting something a bit more… well, suite-like. But you know what? This place on Pariser Straße actually surprised me in the best way possible. It’s tucked up on the third floor of this pretty typical Oberkassel building, and while it might technically be a 3-star spot, it punches way above its weight with that 8.3 rating (which, honestly, makes total sense once you’ve stayed there).
The location is what really gets me excited about this place. Oberkassel is sort of Düsseldorf’s best-kept secret – locals know it’s where you go when you want to feel like you’re actually living in the city rather than just visiting it. You’re literally a few minutes’ walk from the Rhine promenade, which I mean, come on, that’s where the name comes from and they’re not kidding about those river views. The thing is, Pariser Straße puts you right in this sweet spot where you can walk to the old town (Altstadt) in about fifteen minutes, but you’re away from all that tourist chaos. There’s this great little bakery just around the corner that does incredible brötchen in the mornings – the kind of place where the woman behind the counter remembers your order after two days.
What I really appreciate is how quiet it gets at night, especially considering you’re still properly in the city. The building has good bones, you know? Thick walls, solid doors. I’ve stayed in plenty of places where you hear every conversation in the hallway, but here you actually get some peace. The suite itself – and it does feel like an actual suite, not just a regular room with pretensions – has this lived-in comfort that’s hard to fake. Everything works properly (shocking, I know), the wifi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re playing Tetris with your luggage. The kitchen setup is particularly clutch if you’re staying more than a couple nights – I picked up some local cheese and bread from the Saturday market at Carlsplatz and actually enjoyed eating in rather than hunting for dinner reservations. Plus, parking in Oberkassel is infinitely less stressful than trying to navigate the city center with a car, which anyone who’s driven in German cities will tell you is worth its weight in gold.
Hotels in Dusseldorf offer guests the perfect blend of German sophistication and modern comfort, with many featuring fashion concierge services and traditional Rhine brewery experiences to enhance the authentic German cultural experience.

Reviews
Very good – Ivette from Germany – 29 May 2025 (8/10)
Unterkunft sehr sauber, Ausstattung super
Für 1 Nacht ok – Arben from Germany – 25 May 2025 (5/10)
– Parkplatz muss man lange suchen
Exceptional – Schrödter from Norway – 6 May 2025 (10/10)
