Hotel Description

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Stay and Work Düsseldorf on Furstenberger Strasse, I wasn’t expecting much. It’s tucked away in Hassels, which isn’t exactly the postcard part of Düsseldorf, but you know what? That actually turned out to be one of its best features. You’re far enough from the tourist crowds but still connected to everything that matters.

The whole concept here is pretty smart, actually. They’ve designed this place for people who need to get stuff done – whether you’re on a business trip or just one of those digital nomad types who can’t sit still. The rooms have these surprisingly decent work setups, not just some tiny hotel desk shoved in a corner like most places. I mean, the WiFi actually works consistently, which honestly puts it ahead of half the four-star places I’ve stayed at. The common areas have this coworking vibe that doesn’t try too hard – you’ll find people with laptops camped out there at all hours, but it never feels stuffy or overly corporate. There’s something refreshing about a hotel that knows exactly what it is and doesn’t pretend to be a luxury resort.

What really sold me on this place was how surprisingly quiet it gets at night, despite being in a working neighborhood. During the day you’ll hear some street noise – Hassels is a real area where actual people live and work, not some sanitized hotel district – but once evening hits, it settles down nicely. The staff genuinely seem to get their clientele too. Check-in was smooth, no unnecessary upselling, just “here’s your key, WiFi password is on the card, workspace is down the hall if you need it.” Simple. The 7.9 rating makes sense to me – it’s not going to blow your mind with fancy amenities, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any annoying surprises. Plus, if you need to actually explore Düsseldorf proper, you’re not stuck in some suburban wasteland. The public transport connections are solid, and honestly, staying out in Hassels means you’ll probably stumble across some local spots that most visitors never see. It’s the kind of place I’d book again without hesitation, especially if I had work to catch up on and needed somewhere that understood that not every trip is a vacation.

The concierge service in Dusseldorf can arrange exclusive tours of luxury fashion boutiques, secure reservations at Michelin-starred restaurants, and organize personalized visits to world-class art museums and the scenic Rhine promenade.
