Hotel Description

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Victoria Apartments on Graf-Adolf Strasse, I wasn’t expecting much from the exterior. It’s tucked into this busy street in Stadtmitte, and you know how those city center locations can be hit or miss. But once you step inside, it’s actually a really pleasant surprise. The lobby has this understated elegance that feels more like a boutique hotel than your typical apartment-style accommodation, and the staff genuinely seemed to care about getting you settled in properly.

What really won me over, though, is how well they’ve thought through the practical stuff that matters when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The apartments themselves are spacious – I mean genuinely spacious, not that cramped “European cozy” thing you sometimes get. Each unit has a proper kitchenette where you can actually cook something decent, which is perfect because honestly, eating out every meal in Düsseldorf gets expensive fast. The beds are comfortable (always a gamble with apartment hotels), and there’s enough storage space that you can unpack properly instead of living out of your suitcase. Street noise was less of an issue than I expected – the windows do a decent job of keeping out the Graf-Adolf traffic, though you’ll still hear some city sounds if you’re a light sleeper.

The location is actually pretty brilliant once you get your bearings. You’re right in the heart of Stadtmitte, which means you can walk to the Altstadt in about ten minutes, and the shopping district is literally at your doorstep. The Heinrich-Heine-Allee U-Bahn station is just a few blocks away, so getting around the city is dead simple. I found myself grabbing coffee at the little café around the corner most mornings – it’s one of those neighborhood spots that locals frequent, which always feels like a win. Parking can be tricky (welcome to Düsseldorf city center), but they do have arrangements with nearby garages if you’re driving. The whole area comes alive in the evenings, but it settles down by around 11 PM, so you’re not dealing with constant nightlife noise. What impressed me most was how the place manages to feel both central and residential – you get that authentic sense of living in the city rather than just visiting it, which is exactly what you want from apartment-style accommodation.

Located right in the city center, everything you need is just around the corner. It's only a 10-minute walk to the train station and about 20 minutes to the Old Town. The house has everything you might need. The only thing I found missing was an iron, but even that was covered by the facilities provided. With our 18-month-old baby boy, we truly felt like we were at home.

  • great place, i will definitely go back – Dennis from Mexico – 17 July 2025 (10/10)

the place is super close to the hauptbahnhof, the room is gigantic, there's a kebab parlor nearby and also a 24h store

What could be improved: you have to walk a couple of block to get to the tram stop or the bus stop, yet the train station is 3 blocks away and the ubahn is about 5 block away

  • Comfortable stay! – Kirsten from Luxembourg – 12 July 2025 (9/10)

Beautiful appartment, spacious, bright and nicely furnished. Quiet. Comfy bed! Very kind staff.

  • Excellent Stop for a Group Cycle Trip – Jennifer from United States – 12 July 2025 (9/10)

Very helpful staff for answering questions, changing arrangements, and of service on site. The entire property was in good condition though a bit sparse (we shared cutlery, pots & pans, dishes, etc across three apartments). Fantastic location with loads of excellent restaurants, shops, and transit. Great secure bike parking across the street was provided. Lots of light, but good blackout curtains & surprisingly quiet at night.

What could be improved: It was a little confusing figuring out how to check in.

    Beautiful apartment
A lot of good restaurants are nearby
    12 min walk to Altstadt
Very close to the train station

What could be improved: There is no shading at all in the apartment.
There is a lack of kitchen utensils necessary for everyday cooking.
