Vennhausen might not be the flashiest district, but it’s got this authentic German residential vibe that I actually preferred to staying right in the city center. You’re close enough to reach Düsseldorf’s main attractions — the Altstadt and shopping areas are maybe 15 minutes by car or public transport. But here’s the thing: you get to experience how locals actually live, with proper grocery stores, neighborhood cafes, and tree-lined streets where you can take evening walks without dodging crowds of tourists. The neighborhood offers genuine cultural immersion while maintaining easy access to major landmarks and entertainment venues.

The room setup maximizes every square meter without feeling cramped, and there are little touches that show someone actually cares about the guest experience.   Ongelooflijke ervaring. Aan alles werd gedacht, tot in de kleinste details. Super vriendelijke ontvangst met koffie op het terras, ook al lieten we last minute weten dat we vroeger aankwamen.
  Lekkere drankjes in de koelkast en koffie op de kamer.
  We konden ook gratis onze wagen laden en de fietsen veilig zetten. Veel dank aan onze gastheer en -mevrouw!

  Die Herzlichkeit, mit der wir von der Gastgebern empfangen wurden, hat uns sehr gefreut und berührt.

  Sehr netter Empfang von den Besitzern, man hatte gleich ein sehr familiären Eindruck. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Apartment war sauber und die Ausstattung war hochwertig mit einem persönlichen Charme. Die Lage war ruhig und Zentrumsnah.

  Perfect. Friendly, clean, free drinks, water, tea, coffee & milk, a desk with stationery laid out perfectly – everything, immaculate and best I’ve stayed in; lots of special extra touches. I didn’t have a car but there was a garage, parking spot and electric charger.
  
  What could be improved: Double bed with a single duvet, although on my own I would’ve liked a double duvet.

  The hosts are incredibly welcoming and immediately make us feel at home. We were very impressed with the apartments – the design, facilities, and cleanliness are exceptional. You can really tell how much thought the owner has put into creating the space; everything is designed for maximum convenience and ease for guests. We particularly loved the bathroom, which is spotless with powerful water pressure. The host also thoughtfully provided multiple sets of cutlery and plates, complimentary coffee/tea, drinks in the fridge, as well as snacks like nuts, chocolates, and cookies. The atmosphere is very cozy. The location is also great, just a short 13-minute drive from the city center and close to several supermarket chains, making it very convenient if you prefer not to eat out."

  My Stay was very pleasant, the host was there, and showed me everything, even the restaurants nearby, moreover they talked to the chef to prepare Special food I have requested [Halal Food].
  There was free drinks in the Minibar, biscuits, Salted Nuts and free Coffee and tea.
  They also showed me the bus stop and told me that it goes directly to the fair.
  The Place was quite and lovely with a shared Backyard Garden.
  The Place was very clean, and cosy.

  The hosts sent us the details of how to get into the apartment but when we got there he was there anyway and showed us around and how to use the blinds/shutters etc. The apartment was perfect for us and they have thought of everything. The apartment was spotless and so comfortable. We were in Dusseldorf for the Euro 2024 tournament and told the host that we were going to the game – when we got back from the game there was a present for us hanging on the door to the apartment with a note to say congratulations and all the best for the rest of the tournament. This was such a nice touch. I also checked out and then realised when we were on our way to the next city that I had left my bag – they were really quick to respond to my message and met us back at the apartment to give me my bag. Such a nice family and perfect hosts. There is also lots of routes into Dusseldorf city centre from just around the corner too. Highly recommended.
