You know what struck me first about this place? The elevator ride up to the sixth floor – there’s this moment when you’re thinking “okay, how high are we going?” and then you step inside and immediately get why they put “view” right in the name. The loft sits on Fürstenwall, which honestly sounds more intimidating than it is. It’s actually this lovely tree-lined street in Friedrichstadt, and from up there you can see over the neighborhood in a way that makes Düsseldorf feel both intimate and expansive at the same time.

The space itself has that genuine loft feel – I mean, not the fake industrial vibe you get in some places, but actual exposed elements that work with the coziness rather than against it. The light is fantastic during the day, especially in the morning when it streams across the main living area. What really sold me on the location was realizing how walkable everything is from here. The Messe (that’s the trade fair center) is close enough that you could actually stroll there if the weather’s decent, which is huge if you’re in town for business. But even if you’re not, Friedrichstadt has this nice residential energy – you’ll see people walking their dogs in the evening, little corner bakeries that smell incredible when you pass by around 7 AM.

The 9.3 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there. It’s not trying to be fancy in that three-star-pretending-to-be-five-star way. Instead, it just nails the basics really well and adds thoughtful touches that matter when you’re actually living in a space for a few days. The kitchen setup is practical enough for more than just heating up leftovers, and the bed situation is comfortable without being overly precious about thread counts or whatever. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this area – street parking exists but you’ll want to read the signs carefully. The neighborhood goes pretty quiet after 9 PM, which is perfect if you’re trying to recover from jet lag or just want to actually sleep. I’d say book this if you want to feel like you’re staying in Düsseldorf rather than just passing through it. The view from that sixth floor window, especially when the light hits the buildings just right in late afternoon, reminds you why people fall in love with German cities in the first place.
