Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about this place? It’s actually tucked away on Neustädter Weg in a way that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something locals have been keeping to themselves. I mean, Eller isn’t exactly the first district tourists think of when they hit Düsseldorf, but honestly – that’s part of the charm here.
The villa itself has this lived-in authenticity that’s getting harder to find. The garden isn’t some manicured Instagram backdrop; it’s the kind of space where you’ll actually want to sit with your morning coffee and figure out your day. There’s something refreshing about having real outdoor space when you’re staying in a city, especially one where hotel rooms can feel pretty cramped. The balcony gives you just enough elevation to people-watch without being obvious about it – I spent way too much time up there just observing the neighborhood rhythm. And parking… well, if you’ve ever tried to park anywhere near Düsseldorf’s center, you’ll appreciate having a dedicated spot more than you’d expect.
What I really liked is how this place sits in the city without feeling overwhelmed by it. Eller has this quiet residential vibe, but you’re not stranded out there – the public transport connections are solid, and honestly, sometimes it’s nice to come back to a neighborhood where people are just living their lives instead of everything revolving around tourism. The host clearly knows the area well; they pointed me toward this bakery about two blocks away that I never would’ve found otherwise, and the bread there was ridiculously good. Small thing, but it made the whole experience feel more… real, I guess.
The 8.1 rating makes sense to me – it’s not luxury, and it doesn’t pretend to be. Some of the furnishings have that “my aunt’s house” quality, which depending on your mood is either charming or just okay. The shower pressure was actually better than I expected (always a gamble with older buildings), and the wifi held up fine for work calls. I did notice some street noise in the early morning – delivery trucks and such – but nothing that kept me awake. Just the sounds of a functioning neighborhood, really.
Honestly, if you’re the type who needs to be within stumbling distance of the Altstadt every night, this might not be your spot. But if you want to experience Düsseldorf more like someone who actually lives here, while still having easy access to all the tourist stuff when you want it, this villa hits that sweet spot. Plus, having a proper garden and parking in a city this size? That’s not nothing.
Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Dusseldorf through local agencies that offer personalized recommendations and insider knowledge about the best neighborhoods for exploring the city’s rich fashion and cultural heritage.

Bright, beautiful, and good location. – Jessica from Germany – 21 February 2025 (9/10)
Bright, clean, max 15 minutes to anywhere in Düsseldorf, coffee available (thank you), and parking included. We loved having this beautiful space to come back to after exploring the city. We enjoyed spending family time in the living room before we all went to bed.
What could be improved: Reported something to the owners and was interrogated regarding the issue. I had to reach back out to them to find out what actually happened but am very glad that they looked further into the issue and that the truth was revealed.
On the first night the guests in the other apartment took up both driveway spots but we did find close street parking.Perfect and well recommended!!! – Adebayo from Sweden – 28 December 2024 (9/10)
Everything was great and functioning essentials in an apartment. Check-in was contactless and effortless.
What could be improved: Light in the hallway not working but not a big of a deal. Wifi instructions in the arrival information needs updating.Nice facilities and garden, excellent property if staying with a group. – Euan from United Kingdom – 20 June 2024 (9/10)

Good, great for the price. – Maxim from Belgium – 23 September 2024 (8/10)
Very relaxed neighbourhood, and chill garden.
House was practical and clean. Plenty of space for your family for a longer stay.
Biggest plus for people who arrive by car, there's easy parking, big driveway to park on. The city center is 10-15mins by taxi which costs -+15 euro.
What could be improved: Small things, like a showerhead that's a bit low for most people, i'd say it's an easy fix to install something a bit more comfortable.
And secondly, there was no table in the garden.
The house has 2 appartements, which we rented both, there was a table on the terrace on the first floor. But no table in the garden.Good – Kahraman from Turkey – 11 July 2024 (7/10)
I liked the big, green garden and large spaces. It is like our own house. It has all the equipments we need. And the host was very thoughtful, helpful. We had an İnternet problem, she did whatever she did to solve it.
What could be improved: We were two families , totally 8 people and didnt know that first and second flat was seperated and there was only one bathroom for all of us. It was a bit difficult to wait in the queue😊We had a ll – Robbert from Netherlands – 8 October 2024 (7/10)
Calm residential area away from the noisy city.
Everything was available in the house.
What could be improved: The second floor has really old and outdated furniture.Elegant and comfortable place to spend a vacation – Aurel from Romania – 27 November 2024 (10/10)
The kindness of the host – accepted not only early check in but also late check out, It was really helpful for us.
What could be improved: I had a short stay, for only three nights.
