Honestly, I almost walked past M&A Home the first time I tried to find it – it’s tucked up on the first floor of a building on Gelleper Straße, and you know what? That’s actually part of its charm. This isn’t some flashy hotel with a massive lobby and doormen, but rather a cozy 3-star spot that feels more like staying at a well-organized friend’s place in Lörick.

The location is pretty clever if you ask me. Lörick is one of those Düsseldorf neighborhoods that locals love but tourists often miss – it’s got this residential vibe where you can actually hear birds in the morning instead of constant traffic. You’re still close enough to the Rhine that a morning walk to the riverbank takes maybe ten minutes, and honestly, that’s become my favorite way to start the day when I’m staying here. The Rheinkniebrücke is right there if you need to get into the city center, but I’ve found myself just wandering the quieter streets around Niederkassel more often than not. There’s this little bakery about three blocks away that does incredible Streuselkuchen – the kind of local spot you’d never find if you were staying in the tourist areas.

What strikes me most about M&A Home is how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between personal and professional. The rooms feel lived-in rather than sterile (I mean that in the best way), with thoughtful touches that suggest someone actually thought about what travelers need rather than just checking boxes. The 8.8 rating makes sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be the Ritz, but everything works exactly as it should. Parking was surprisingly easy, which anyone who’s driven in Düsseldorf will appreciate, and the check-in process was refreshingly straightforward. No lengthy speeches about amenities or complicated key card systems that never work on the first try.

The neighborhood gets properly quiet after about 9 PM, which is either perfect or potentially boring depending on what you’re after. If you want to stumble back from the Altstadt at 2 AM, you’ll need to plan your route home, but if you’re here for work or just want to explore Düsseldorf without the chaos, it’s ideal. I’ve stayed here during both the quieter winter months and summer when the Rhine gets busy with cyclists and walkers, and honestly, the location works well either way. The building itself has character – those old German apartment buildings with thick walls that actually keep noise out, unlike some of the newer hotels where you hear every conversation in the hallway.

  Die Ferienwohnung liegt in einer sehr ruhigen Gegend und ist modern und komfortabel eingerichtet – genau wie auf den Bildern. Mit der nahegelegenen U-Bahn ist man in wenigen Minuten stressfrei im Zentrum von Düsseldorf und kann das vielfältige kulturelle Angebot genießen, ohne sich um Parkplätze kümmern zu müssen. Die Vermieter sind ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder!

  Die Unterkunft ist gemütlich, sauber und bietet eine sehr gute Ausstattung (z.B. vollwertige Küche mit allen Utensilien zom Kochen).
  Sie ist ruhig gelegen. In der direkten Umgebung befindet sich eine U-Bahn-Station. Firmen in der Hansaallee sind ebenfalls binnen weniger Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen.
  Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
