The building itself has this understated charm – it’s tucked into the Pempelfort neighborhood in a way that feels deliberately unshowy, which honestly made me like it more. I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from the Rhine promenade, but instead of being right on some tourist-heavy street, you’re on this quiet residential block where actual Düsseldorfers live and work.

The staff actually seemed to know their stuff when I was fumbling around asking about the best way to get to the Altstadt without dealing with weekend crowds. They didn’t just point me toward the obvious tourist route – they suggested cutting through Hofgarten and mentioned that Thursday evenings are perfect for the Königsallee if you want to window shop without the chaos. That kind of local insight isn’t something you get everywhere. The rooms themselves are… well, it’s a 3-star place, so don’t expect marble bathrooms, but everything feels thoughtfully done. The beds are actually comfortable (I’m picky about this), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night – Gartenstrasse isn’t a main thoroughfare, so you’re not dealing with constant traffic noise, which can be a real problem in other parts of the city.

Honestly, the 8.4 rating makes sense once you spend a night or two there. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Düsseldorf, but it gets the important things right. The shower pressure is solid, the Wi-Fi actually works reliably (tested this while video calling back home), and check-in was refreshingly straightforward. I also noticed they seem to attract a mix of business travelers and people like me who just wanted a decent base for exploring the city without paying Königsallee hotel prices. The breakfast situation is pretty standard continental fare, but the coffee is better than I expected. If you’re planning to spend most of your time out exploring anyway – maybe hitting up the Rheinuferpromenade or diving into the art scene around Karlsplatz – this place works really well as your comfortable landing spot. Just keep in mind that parking can be a bit tricky in Pempelfort if you’re driving, though the hotel staff will point you toward the nearest options that won’t break the bank.

  I only stayed here a night for work, but it was a perfectly pleasant hotel. Room was a bit tight but not an issue as my stay was not very long. Clean bathroom, comfy bed. Only thing is that the AC unit did not get very cool and it was a hot summer night in Düsseldorf, so the room felt a bit clammy and warm. Had the window open which worked for me, but expect some city noise if you do this.
  
  What could be improved: The AC unit could have been a bit more powerful to really cool down the room. Could have just been a fluke in my room and would I have stayed longer, I would definitely have tried to fix it with the staff. For one night it was not a big issue for me.

  We stayed at Beryal Boutique Hotel with colleagues and were very satisfied overall. The location is excellent—just a 10-minute walk to the city center with plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby, yet the area is very quiet and peaceful.
  
  The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which made the experience even more pleasant.
  
  What could be improved: The only downside was that we weren’t allowed to sit on the terrace after 8 PM, even for a quiet drink, due to strict neighborhood noise regulations. We were told that neighbors might call the police if disturbed, which was a bit frustrating in the evenings.
  
  Otherwise, a great choice for a comfortable and central stay in Düsseldorf.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, hotel was in a central location for our needs. Staff friendly and polite, room was spacious, bed very comfortable and room very clean. Breakfast was good, but being British, not what we are used to. Loved the breads and rolls, but after 4 days, the offerings were a bit repetitive, and there were no tea or coffee facilities in the room either.

  The location was excellent: quiet, nice neighbourhood, next to the park and very close to the center. The room was small but comfortable to rest after long walks during the day.
