Landhaus Hamm THE UNIQUE BOUTIQUE HOTEL Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Landhaus Hamm THE UNIQUE BOUTIQUE HOTEL on Blasiusstraße, you immediately get the sense that this isn’t your typical chain hotel. The building has this charming, almost residential feel that makes you wonder if you’re checking into someone’s beautifully renovated home rather than a three-star property. I mean, the name says it all — they’re calling themselves unique, and honestly, they’re not wrong. There’s something refreshingly unpretentious about the whole setup that puts you at ease right away.
Location & Getting Around
The location in Düsseldorf is actually pretty brilliant, especially if you’re traveling as a couple — apparently other guests agree since couples consistently rate it 8.6 out of 10. You’re in Hamm, which gives you that local neighborhood vibe without being stuck in the middle of nowhere. The fact that they have private parking on site is honestly a godsend if you’re driving, because anyone who’s tried to park in German city centers knows what a nightmare that can be. You can actually explore the area on foot, and when you need to venture further into Düsseldorf proper, you’re well-connected.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in had this boutique hotel charm that larger properties just can’t replicate. Everything felt thoughtfully chosen rather than bulk-ordered from some hotel supply catalog. The space wasn’t huge — this is Europe after all — but it was smartly designed with enough character to make you feel like you’re somewhere special. What struck me most was the attention to detail; you know how some hotels feel like they’re trying too hard to be trendy? This place just feels naturally stylish.
Breakfast Worth Waking Up For
Now, the breakfast situation here is where they really shine. They’ve got this impressive spread that covers pretty much every dietary preference you can think of — continental, Italian, full English, vegetarian, vegan, even gluten-free options. It’s set up buffet-style, which I actually prefer because you can take your time and try different things. The quality is solid too; this isn’t one of those sad hotel breakfasts where everything tastes like cardboard. I found myself looking forward to mornings, which honestly doesn’t happen often when I’m traveling.
Why Guests Love It
What makes this place work is that it strikes this perfect balance between being professional and personal. The staff clearly takes pride in what they’re doing, and you can feel that energy throughout your stay. It’s the kind of hotel where you might actually want to hang out in the common areas rather than just crash in your room and leave. For a three-star property, they’re definitely punching above their weight — that 8.5 rating isn’t just a fluke. If you’re looking for somewhere with personality that won’t break the bank, this little boutique gem delivers exactly what it promises.

What could be improved: Nothing, it is excellent!Exceptional – Julia from Estonia – 8 December 2024 (10/10)
It was our first travel with our baby, so we were quite stressed. Everything went very smoothly – the room was big, with a crib, warm, quiet. The beds were comfortable. We could keep baby milk in the fridge. Internet worked well. The location was a plus – the hotel is located in a neighborhood that looked quiet and safe, the parking had lots of room (12 euro extra). The tram stop to go to the center was in less than 5 minutes by foot, and then it's about 15 minutes by tram. The tram tickets can be bought in the tram itself (there is a ticket machine there), or later I discovered a public transport application in English, with plenty of ticket options, we took a 24-hour option.
The breakfast is served during weekends, but we preferred to eat in the center. There is a boulangerie in 50 meters (we didn't go there, for the next time!), and a local restaurant in 200 meters (good traditional food, but closed on Sundays).
We liked Dusseldorf a lot and would like to come back.
What could be improved: We liked everything, but a water boiler would be great to drink a hot tea after a long day.Superb value for money, good location and very friendly staff – Olga from Germany – 3 November 2024 (10/10)
Superb location, very near to the port (Hafen), very lively and modern part of Düsseldorf. Value for money and available parking!

The hotel building, the rooms and the neighbourhood was like out of a movie scene. The owner Peter was very welcoming and nice.
